GAC Group’s CV strategy and product release conference

 

On November 26, GAC Group held a commercial vehicle (CV) strategy and product release conference at the GAC Technology Museum, under the theme of “Embarking on a New Journey of Innovation”. The Group unveiled the "135" development strategy to accelerate its transformation to intelligent new energy CVs, targeting a revenue of 30 billion RMB by 2030. The event featured the debut of T9, world's first in-house developed short-haul new energy heavy-duty truck. GAC Group released L platform, the first intelligent driving platform developed by MiracoMotor, along  with the platform’s first model Robobus L60, promoting the advancement of commercial vehicle intelligence and its ecosystem.

Feng Xingya announced "135" development strategy for CV by 2023, specifically, 

 “1”represents one goal to strive for a business revenue of 30 billion RMB by 2030 and become a backbone force in new energy CV industry;

 “3” stands for 3 driving forces, namely, intelligent manufacturing, industrial alliance and user ecology to drive the development of new energy and intelligence of commercial vehicles;

“5” indicates 5 strategic actions, i.e. deepening system and institutional reform to forge an efficient and agile team; refine scenario-defined vehicles to establish a product portfolio of new energy commercial vehicle; leveraging GAC’s advantageous resources to provide innovative and integrated solutions; building an industrial alliance to foster a jointly-developed, prosperous and sharing ecosystem; expanding commercial vehicle business from the Greater Bay Area to overseas markets with a global vision.  

GAC Hino also released its new vision, mission and values. With mission of “continuously delivering unparalleled value to customers through cutting-edge technology, outstanding quality and innovative service”, GAC Hino’s vision is to “become an industry-leading service provider for intelligent and connected new energy commercial vehicles operation.” Adhering to the values of “humanity, credibility, creativity,”, the company will grow together with customers and partners.

GAC Hino developed an intelligent cockpit with an ultra-low wind resistance of 0.4Cd. The 1.39 meter ground clearance, 3-steps pedals, through instrument panel, and intelligent travel appliances make the travel more comfortable and convenient. Thanks to technologies such as modularized integration of battery pack and frame, efficient drive axles, 700L high-strength steel and steel-aluminum composite materials, the vehicle weight is reduced to 8.9 tons, significantly improving load capacity. Through real-time task scheduling, energy-replenishment scheduling, operation monitor functions, GAC Hino’s in-house developed vehicle-cloud big data platform empower customers to achieve highly-effective operation. Leveraging GAC Group’s industrial chain layout, GAC Hino is able to provide one-stop solutions in financing, leasing, insurance, energy, battery cascade utilization etc.

New model Robobus L60

 

In the conference, MiracoMotor unveiled L platform, its first intelligent driving platform. Robobus L60, as the first model developed in this platform, was introduced with key features including GAC inheritance, superior drivability, and integration of CV and PV technologies. The company put forward the "greater intelligence at the same price" initiative for the first time, opened the wire control interface, invited partners to jointly promote the advancement of commercial vehicle intelligence and its ecosystem.

 

Robobus L60 debuted

 

Robobus L60：

The Robobus L60 will SOP in December 2024. Its passenger-vehicle-level wire-control steering and braking solutions significantly enhance the CV performance with a quicker response and higher control accuracy. The model also equipped with advanced technologies such as integrated intelligent thermal management system etc.

MiracoMotor will successively launch Robotruck and Robovan models developed on the same platform. 

 

Robotruck T45：

Robotruck T45 is planned to start production in the first half of 2025. This vehicle, designed without a driving cabin, boasts high performance and reliability. With a 15 cubic meter cargo area and a payload capacity of over 2.1 tons, it is set to redefine unmanned logistics vehicles.

Robovan X60：

Robovan X60 is planned to start production in 2026. Developed according to European standards, this model possesses an 800 volt high-voltage platform for superior efficiency. With a maximum cargo space exceeding 16.5 cubic meters, the vehicle enhance the utilization efficiency by 25% compared to traditional models. Robovan X60 will provide a new solution for digital operation of logistics, and passenger and freight transportation scenarioses.
